Madeline hails from a close-knit NYC family and started her plus size modeling career with a spread in BBW magazine in 2002.
In early 2003 Figueroa was selected to appear as the spokes model for the "Hips, Heels & Curves" Fashion Show, continuing on to casting director for the Dangerous Curves 2003/2004 Tour. Christina Kwon is the head designer and co-owner of Missphit. Prior to launching Missphit with her husband Yul, Christina worked for numerous trendy labels in Los Angeles, holding head designer positions at these lines. Christina studied fashion design at Esmod in Paris and has learned under top design houses such as Christian Dior and John Galliano in addition to her work experiences in the U.S. Her styles are a fun confluence of European chic and California cool. During her time working in the cutting edge of fashion, Christina noticed how the same style and design resources were not put into the plus sized market and has now dedicated her passion to providing the best styles for the curvy shape.
